Creating a new item

OVERVIEW

This article provides instructions on how to create a new item in Lighthouse.

INSTRUCTIONS

In Lighthouse, there are a number of way to create a new item:

  1. Via the dashboard tiles
  2. Via the menu bar
  3. System search.

 

CREATING A NEW ITEM USING A TILE

1. Log in to your Lighthouse instance.

2. When you log in, you will be directed to the dashboard screen

3. Scroll through the tiles and locate the tile that relates to the new item you would like to create i.e. a new conflict of interest declaration.

4. Once located, select the button on the bottom right of the tile to create the new item i.e. ‘New Application’.

5. A new item has been created for you to complete and submit.

 

CREATING A NEW ITEM USING THE MENU BAR

1. Log in to your Lighthouse instance.

2. Select ‘New’ from the menu bar.

3. From the drop-down that appears, locate and select the new item you would like to create i.e. a new conflict of interest declaration.

4. A new item has been created for you to complete and submit.

 

CREATING A NEW ITEM USING THE SEARCH FUNCTION

1. Log in to your Lighthouse instance.

2. Click the magnifying glass icon in the top menu bar.

3. Using the find function box that appears, search for the name of the new item you would like to create i.e. Conflict of Interest Declaration.

4. Select the option that appears with the word ‘New’ at the beginning of the item name.

5. A new item has been created for you to complete and submit.
